چکیده
Abstract Fibre Reinforced Polymers (FRPs) are extensively employed to strengthen existing structures because of their several advantages over other strengthening techniques. On the hand, premature debonding FRP reduces its effectiveness in steel structures. Anchoring composites is an effective solution delay or even prevent debonding. Very limited anchorage methods, however, have been introduced for FRP-strengthened and need system remains. Fan anchor has validated as one remedies against failure concrete Considering that fan anchors offer, use proposed evaluated this paper. Since FRP-steel joints a different bond-slip law than FRP-concrete strengthened members prone buckling-debonding interactions, study focuses on efficiency delaying by assuming adequate mechanical connection between dowel substrate provided. Three experimental studies involving shear, flexural buckling components were simulated through finite element modelling, added models after validation. The effect strength, mode FRP's strain distribution was examined. showed successfully able mode, which increased strength ductility exploited higher capacity plates.

Abstract Fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) strengthening and retro fi tting of concrete elements, such as beams, columns, slabs, and bridge decks, have become increasingly popular. Nonetheless, rapid and reliable nondestructive testing techniques (NDT) that are capable of remotely assessing in-situ integrity of retro fi tted systems are needed. Development of a robust NDT method that provides an a...
متن کاملDebonding-Related Strain Limits for Externally Bonded FRP Sheets in Flexurally Strengthened Reinforced Concrete Beams
Debonding problems of externally bonded fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) sheets in flexurally FRP-strengthened reinforced concrete (RC) beams have been a concern and a research challenge since their application of this strengthening technique. Intermediate crack induced debonding is the most common failure mode which is that the debonding initiates at the critical flexural-shear or flexural crack...

As the life age of the existing structures are required to meet the changing demands on civil infrastructures. So strengthening and retrofitting are required. Recently many techniques to strengthen the reinforced concrete beams in flexural by using fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) had appeared. The most famous technique among them is strengthening the (RC) beams with externally bonded FRP sheet t...

Effective application of FRP to concrete structure is not possible until a fundamental understanding of the mechanics and failure mechanisms of the retrofit system is available. This paper is mainly focused on developing a methodology for predicting the debonding failure caused by intermediate flexural cracks in FRP-strengthened R/C beam. Firstly, based on the strain compatibility, an iterative...
متن کاملDebonding Failures of Rc Beams Strengthened with Externally Bonded Frp Reinforcement: Behaviour and Modelling
Both the flexural and shear strengths of reinforced concrete (RC) beams can be substantially enhanced using externally bonded fibre reinforced polymer (FRP) composites. Failures of such FRP-strengthened RC beams often occur by debonding of the FRP plate from the RC beam in a number of forms. Despite numerous theoretical and experimental studies on debonding failures of FRP-strengthened RC beams...
